Topper now lets you pay for crypto with Venmo (available in the US and the UK). Just link your Venmo account once, pick a funding source (your Venmo balance, bank account, or debit card), and you’ll be ready to buy in seconds
Before linking your Venmo account
Make sure the name, country and email address on your Venmo account
match the ones
on your Topper account. Mismatches may result in failed transactions.
How do I link my Venmo account to Topper?
You can’t use Venmo for your first Topper order, even if you’re in a supported region. To link your Venmo account, you’ll first need to complete a Topper order using one of the other available payment methods.
- Start a Buy order in Topper.
- Select Venmo as your payment method.
- Review your order on the Review Order screen.
- Select Buy with Venmo. Topper opens a secure Venmo window.
- Log in with your Venmo credentials.
- Select the funding source you want Topper to use (balance, linked bank, or debit card).
- Save your Venmo details to link the account for future orders.
- Review and authorize the payment within the Venmo window. Venmo redirects you back to Topper, where Venmo now shows as a saved payment method.
Important Note
The Venmo link is tied to the specific funding source selected in step
6. To use a different funding source within Venmo, unlink your Venmo
and repeat these steps.
How do I unlink my Venmo account?
- Go to the Preferences Center.
- Select Payment methods.
- Find the Venmo entry (only one Venmo account can be stored per Topper account).
- Tap the (three dots) and choose Disconnect account (red).
- Confirm. Venmo is removed.
You can now link a different Venmo account or re-link the same account with a new funding source.
Common issues & limitations
