To keep your account safe and secure, we set limits on how much crypto you can buy. These limits apply to buying crypto. They depend on your payment method, where you live and other factors.
Each payment method has its own limits, shown in the table. Debit/credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are separate payment methods, so what you buy with one doesn't count towards the limits of the others.
| Limit (in USD) | Debit/Credit card | Apple Pay | Google Pay | SEPA | PayPal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daily | $2,500 | $2,500 | $2,500 | $30,000 | $500 |
| Weekly | $15,000 | $15,000 | $15,000 | $30,000 | $3,500 |
| Monthly | $50,000 | $50,000 | $50,000 | $50,000 | $15,000 |
Limits are shown in US dollars. If you pay in euros or pounds, the limit applies to the equivalent amount in your payment currency. Your daily limit resets at 00:00 UTC every day.
Why might I be asked to verify my identity?
Verifying your identity helps us keep your account and your money safe, and it's required by law. We verify in steps. At first we may only need some basic personal details. As you buy more, we may also ask for a photo of your ID document and a selfie. We may ask at any time, including before you reach one of these limits, and what we ask for can depend on your country and how you pay.
To verify, see How to verify my identity For tips on getting it right the first time, see Tips for a successful identification session.
Can I increase my limits?
No. We don't increase limits on request. See Can I increase my transaction limits?
